Where Yoga is very beneficial in terms of total body health, Flexibility, increased blood flow, mental clarity, and excellent breathing practices, I will not give you near the result in terms of weight loss, so I would have to say that Aerobics would be your best bet if you can not do both, good luck with whatever you choose.

Aerobics. Aerobics classes often incorporate cardio (accelerated heart rate). Cardio exercise boosts metabolism, while also burning more calories. If you take a hot yoga class (in a room over 90 degrees), you may “loose weight” after class, but that’s water weight from sweating, and its essential that you rehydrate (thus replenishing that water). Yoga has the benefit of often targeting and elongating your core (abs), which can overtime improve your posture. (Better posture is said to make people appear thinner.) The focus on the abs will help the waistline. However, if you want to elongate/tone your core, a Pilates class will do so more effectively/dramatically, and be a bit more of a “work out.”
Do not get me wrong, Yoga is great for overall well being, and will increase your flexibility while toning your body. but if your looking to really improve your overall body health, cardio is essential (and the best way to boost metabolism for weight loss). To that means, Aerobics would be better.
I believe 2 is the best answers because you must have a clear head to get good results from 1
