Why did I stop losing weight?

Question by cajunkitty713: Why did I stop losing weight?
I have been on Weight Watchers for 2 years and I lost 55 pounds. I still have 40 – 50 to lose. I have never been a very active person and never exercised. Three weeks ago, I started exercising regularly (yoga, strength training, and aerobics). Since I started exercising, I haven’t lost any weight, in fact, a slight gain. I expected to see a noticeable weight loss with exercise. I do have more energy and I notice my clothes fitting a little looser, but the scale shows me different. Why?

Continue eating less obviously. You need to maintain your muscle by getting stronger because muscle burns more calories, fat doesn’t. You need to burn more calories, do cardio at least three times a week. Eating healthy is a key and eating the same thing everyday helps get you into a routine. And the most important part is to keep yourself motivated. Set goals and track your progress.
Your body may have plateaued, if so change the exercises your doing. Drink a lot of water also to help with weight loss.
You should start losing weight don’t lose focus and keep motivated…it may take some time.

The pattern for losing weight is easy – consume less food and move more – the difficulties arise when we really try to put that into operation! There are a lot of temptations in the big wide world don’t you think?! The sole method that really showed results for me is wu-yi tea, it can be seen in the resource box underneath, they have a few free trials in stock, it was highlighted in Fox News and CNN. I worked off 30 pounds, it really does work!

Because you are changing fat into lean muscle, and lean muscle weighs more than fat. The yoga and strength training are the culprits here. They are designed to improve strength, flexibility, and other factors, but do not specifically target weight loss. They increase muscle mass. Unfortunately, when a person combines aerobics with muscle gaining activities, weight loss is decreased in general. You are still gaining benefits by increase your cardiopulmonary fitness.

Do not fret…. By gaining muscle you are gaining a more efficient way of burning fat and, in the end, losing more weight. Lean muscle makes your body more efficient in burning fat and giving your metabolism a jump start.

You’re doing everything correctly. Your plateau in weight loss is due to the muscle you are gaining.

kill yourself doing cardio. it´s the best thing that you could ever do.
not only will you lose weight, but you will feel much alive. think much clearer, react faster, your stress level will be reduced if not vanished.
i´not talking about the wimpy speed you probably have, i´m talking about gasping for air while resting after a resistance interval either in bike, treadmill, or elliptic machine. ( mine is the elliptic due to my knees ).
do not take any sort of entertainment . set your goal to beat any of those machine in less than 40 minutes. (take an extra shirt )
